In the event a transaction is not listed on a rewards customer’s account, follow these steps to search and match the transaction to your customer. This is also known as a DMS match.
First, select Settings, then Markets.
Next, select your market from the list.
On the next page, select Options then Data Match in the top right corner.
Search for transactions using either Transaction ID, for an individual search, or Date Range, for a batch or group of transactions.
Automatically matches all customer transactions in the date range. Use this search in the event of a data interruption to ensure all transactions are attached to all rewards customers.
Note: When using an integrated solution, meaning BayIQ is integrated with your shop management system, you will not need to use the bulk matching option. If you are using an integrated solution and notice a gap in customer transactions, reach out to our Support Team by clicking Submit a Request in the top right corner of this page.
This search is used to match a specific transaction to an individual customer. Input the invoice number then search.
This search will return one of two results.
The results will show the customer name, invoice date, and total. If this information matches the rewards customer you’d like to attach the transaction to, select Go.
If the system is unable to find a match to the transaction, an error will display stating no results have been returned.
If you believe this error is incorrect. Verify the customer’s rewards information matches the information in your shop management system. Use the Terminal to update the customer’s rewards information.
If you are not able to match the rewards transaction, contact Support by clicking Submit a Request in the top right corner of the screen.
Note: If the invoice was processed before your customer signed up for the rewards program, you will see Force instead of Go. This will allow you to add the transaction to accrue rewards points on the rewards customer profile.
